Ionyx helps you understand your symptoms and get the right care. Ion, our symptom checker, asks about what is going on and tells you how soon to get care. If you need a doctor you can book one on Ionyx straight after your check.

Using Ionyx is free for patients. Each doctor sets their own fee for a visit and you see it before you book.

No. Ionyx is not for emergencies. If you have chest pain, trouble breathing, signs of a stroke, heavy bleeding or you feel very unwell, call 919 now or go to the nearest emergency department.

Ionyx was developed by doctors and is built for The Bahamas. The doctors you can book on Ionyx are checked by the Ionyx team before patients can see them.

Ionyx is built for The Bahamas. You can check your symptoms from any island. Ion can also show clinics and emergency departments near you. You can book doctors who offer visits in person or by video.

No. Ion is a symptom checker. It does not diagnose you. It helps you decide how soon to get care and gives a doctor a clear summary of what you told it. A doctor makes the diagnosis.

Your health information is private to you. A doctor sees your full report only after they accept your visit or when you show them your report code or QR code. Every time a doctor opens your record it is written down. You can read more on the Privacy and security page.

No. Ionyx works in the web browser on your phone, tablet or computer. Open ionyxai.com and sign in.

Sign up and choose that you are a doctor or other healthcare provider. After you confirm your email you can sign in and follow your setup guide: your photo, licence and insurance, working hours and fee. The Ionyx team checks your licence and insurance within 5 business days. Patients can find you once you are verified.

Accounts are for adults. A parent or guardian can add a child to their own account and check symptoms for them. You can also add an adult you care for, with their agreement.

Tap Sign up, enter your name, email and a password and choose patient or doctor. We email you a link to confirm your email. Open it and you are ready to sign in.

Look in your spam or junk folder for an email from techsupport@ionyxai.com. Still nothing? Sign in with your email and password and Ionyx sends a new link. Check that you typed your email correctly.

Most checks take 5 to 15 minutes. Ion asks about your symptoms one step at a time. Your report is usually ready about a minute after the last question.

Yes. You can do a check without signing in. To book a doctor or keep your report you need an account. If you sign in on the same phone or computer afterwards, your check moves into your account.

Enter the code printed on the sick note on the sick note check page. It shows whether the note is real and still valid.

Yes. Ion uses an AI service to ask questions and write your report. Your answers are sent to it only to do that. The Privacy and security page explains who processes your data.

Use Still need help at the bottom of this panel. Ionyx Support replies Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm Eastern (the same as Bahamas time), within 3 business days. For an emergency call 919.

Check that you use the email you signed up with and that caps lock is off. If you forgot your password, tap Forgot password. After 5 wrong passwords sign-in pauses for 15 minutes to keep your account safe, so wait a little and try again.

Tap Forgot password on the sign-in page and enter your email. We send a link to choose a new password. If it does not arrive in a few minutes, look in spam or junk.

It comes from techsupport@ionyxai.com and can take a few minutes. Look in spam or junk. If you turned off Ionyx emails in your settings, the email cannot reach you, so message Ionyx Support and we will help.

The Ionyx team has paused your account. Message Ionyx Support with the contact form and we will tell you why and what to do next.

Yes. At the start Ion asks who the check is for: you, your child or someone else. For your child, add them to People you care for first so their details are filled in each time.

Some symptoms can be serious and need help straight away, like chest pain, trouble breathing or signs of a stroke. Ion always errs on the safe side. Please call 919 or go to the nearest emergency department now.

Care at home: you can look after this yourself and we tell you what to watch for. See a doctor soon: book within a few days. Be seen today: get seen within hours. Emergency: call 919 or go to an emergency department now.

Ion can be over careful. If you feel worse than your result says, trust your feeling and get care. You can tell us what happened with the Help button so we can improve Ion.

Refresh the page. Your answers are saved and the check carries on where you were. If the report says it is being prepared, wait a minute: it builds in the background. If Ion is down you see a notice. If you feel very unwell, call 919.

When the check ends you can open the full report and save it as a PDF. Signed in, it is also kept in My checks.

Only if you book one or show a doctor your report code or QR code. When you book you agree to share your report with that doctor. Before they accept they see a short summary with your first name. After they accept they see the full report.

Your results can show clinics and emergency departments on your island. Choose your island once and Ionyx remembers it.

Each doctor sets their own fee and shows it on their profile before you book. Video visits can have a different fee. You pay the doctor directly. Ionyx does not take payment.

Each doctor lists the insurance they take on their profile. Ask the doctor's office how they bill your plan.

You do. A doctor you book sees your report after they accept. The Ionyx team can see records to keep you safe and fix problems. Every look is written down.
