1. The statement

I understand and confirm that:

  1. Ionyx does not provide malpractice (professional indemnity) insurance for me.
  2. Ionyx does not require me to hold it.
  3. Ionyx strongly recommends that I hold professional indemnity insurance that covers the care I give through Ionyx, including video visits.
  4. I am responsible for my clinical assessment, diagnosis, advice, treatment, prescribing and referrals.
  5. As far as the law allows, I will indemnify Ionyx for claims, losses and costs that arise from my clinical decisions, as set out in section 7 of the provider agreement.

2. If you have cover

You can upload proof of your insurance on the Licence and training page. Once we verify it, it may show on your public profile. Uploading it is optional.

Check with your insurer that your policy covers telemedicine and patients you see through an online platform.

3. Once a year

We ask you to tick this statement when you join and once a year after that. We also ask again if the wording changes. We keep a record of each tick, with the version and the date.
