1. What you are agreeing to
Ionyx runs on computers outside The Bahamas. When you use Ionyx, your information is sent to them and stored there. This includes your health information.
The Data Protection (Privacy of Personal Information) Act, 2003 can restrict sending personal information out of The Bahamas. One exception is when you agree. We are asking for your agreement here.
2. Where your information goes
- Amazon Web Services, United States: our servers, database, files, encrypted backups, video calls and the AI note helper.
- OpenAI, United States: Ion's questions and reports, with names and contact details taken out first.
- Microsoft 365, United States: our emails. They do not include medical details.
- Google, United States: fonts on our pages and sign-in if you choose "Sign in with Google".
Our privacy notice lists every type of service provider we use.
3. How we protect it
- All information travels over encrypted connections.
- Our backups are encrypted.
- We are putting written agreements in place with each company to protect your information and to use it only for Ionyx.
- Our AI services must not use your information to train their models.
- We take out names, contact details and other details we can spot before Ion's questions go to our AI service.
- The laws in other countries may not protect your information in the same way as Bahamian law. Some governments can ask companies for information. Our agreements require these companies to protect it as far as their law allows.
4. Your choice
Ionyx cannot store or process your information inside The Bahamas today. If you do not agree, you cannot use Ionyx online. You can still get care from a provider in person.
You can take back your agreement at any time by deleting your account. Medical records a provider has used must still be kept for the time the law requires. They stay where they are stored, securely.
5. Your agreement
